About Me

I’m Marie! I'm a chronically ill therapist with specialized experience in complex trauma and identity formation. If trauma has you feeling stuck choosing between who you really are and having real, heartfelt relationships, I help you create an accessible life that lets you have both.

I work with a wide variety of mental conditions, but I have a particular focus in working with teens and adults around PTSD, living with neurodivergence, chronic illness, and disability, and identity shifts and development. My background gives me distinct expertise in working with childhood sexual abuse. I have a fondness for group therapy, and you’ll often find me leading process groups and even D&D groups!

I received my Masters in Counseling from George Fox University in 2024 and am currently a Professional Counselor Associate practicing under the license of Michelle Engblom-Deglmann (License #: T1004).

When I’m not doing therapy, I’m probably reading, gardening, playing D&D, or doing any number of fiber crafts (lately I’ve been doing embroidery and needle felting.) I enjoy leaning into all the seasons we experience here in the Pacific Northwest, and my hobbies and crafts tend to reflect the season we’re in.
